Welcome 2005 FFL Managers
The 2005 Fantasy Football Season welcomed 5 new managers (Leo, Alex, Clint, Marcus and Mike) and a revisited one (Adam). With 12 teams strong, this was one of the most competitive leagues I have played in for some time and look forward to having all the managers back for the 2006 season.
This page, and any subsequent pages from here, will hopefully keep you entertained and interested in football during the off-season. I will try to keep adding new content on a monthly basis, but you are welcome to join the board to read and discuss other topics more frequently. My goal here is to be informative, give you guys some useful data and ultimately, keep the league together while improving each of our gaming experiences!

2005 Regular Season Standings

2005 Season Awards
- Rookie of the Year - Alexandria Allstars. Of the five new managers this season, Leo finished the regular season in 5th place and stepped it up in the playoffs to finish the year in 3rd place.
- Best Overall Draft - Jorge's Shockers. A combination of total points, moves and total wins was used to calculate this award. He finished 6th in the regular season and 8th in the playoffs, all with only 14 moves.
- "Whoopin' Stick" Award - Right ISO Right. In Week 9, Dave scored 120 more points than the Indy Naps, surpassing any other margin of victory during the season by 30 points. There was a rumor that the Naps didn't change lineups that week, but...
- "Steamroller" Award - Right ISO Right. Both Matt and Dave had a 6-game winning streak in the regular season. But, Dave had a second 5-game winning streak, plus the playoffs that gave him a stretch of 8-games, so I had to award this to him.
- Mover and Shaker Award - Indianapolis Colts. Adam had a season high 85 moves during the season, just edging out the Allstars. Just goes to show that more activity doesn't always equate to better performance.
- "What If..." Award - Rated R. This was a close one, as many managers talked about lineup decisions after a week was over. Clint though, on top of the normal what ifs, added early season chatter regarding Culpepper and finished the post season talking about what if he had played Hasselbeck.
- Best Player Award - Right ISO Right. Shaun Alexander ended up scoring the most points in the league, beating out L.T. in the last couple of games. Alexander was a 2nd overall pick, so you are not always going to get the best player with the 1st pick.
- Single-Game "En Fuego" Award - deek. This was a close one. Leo scored 195.23 points in Week 11 and that was only topped by my Week 12 performance of 195.52.
- "Hot Potato" Award - Rated R. This is all Culpepper's fault! He was the only player that seemed to be too dangerous to touch, but for a while couldn't be dropped. There weren't many trades this season, so Clint gets this award for having a player that was on the move.
- Manager of the Year - Right ISO Right. Dave had a solid draft, effectively juggled his roster during bye weeks, worked the waiver wire and even made a trade. These are the things a good manager does, but seeing he was also able to win the regular season and post season, basically performing at a high level all year, he certainly earned this award! Dave made it hard to give it to anyone other than the regular and post season champ.
