I've neglected to wish you all a Happy New Year. So, Happy New Year!!!

This March, this site will have been live for five years. Yup, that's kind of cool and something I'm proud off. Its been a couple years since I moved the hosting from a Pentium 3 box under my desk to 24/7 Basic Linux account on GoDaddy.

Looking back at 2009, we've gained a few new friends to our community, but they've mainly been hiding out on the role-playing forums. We upgraded to phpBB3 forums, which was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I think some of our forums have seen some downturns in activity, like the Book Club, Photo Club, Parenting and Health & Fitness, but maybe we'll see them bounce back in 2010?

I know that I have made a resolution to increase my reading loads (And thank you Amy, the Kindle will allow me to do that quite nicely!) and I am continuing to write fiction (And hopefully by the end of 2010 I'll have my first novel finished and revised once or twice!). I'm working on trying to get a more manageable reading and writing schedule figured out this year, so hopefully those efforts will come to fruition soon.

But other than that, I don't see too many changes down the road for this site this year. I'll continue to work on writing in threads here and maintaining my blog on the front page. And hopefully you will continue to enjoy the content and discussions and share your thoughts and opinions here with us.

And, I'm always on the lookout to improve this site to tailor to your needs, so if you ever think of something, don't hesitate to post your feedback!
