A couple of weeks ago, I was supposed to have my annual performance review, but then at the last minute, my manager was told to hold off. Yesterday, I had another one-on-one and this time I did get my performance review.
It was very good, ranking 4 out of a possible of 5. I was actually a little harder on myself than my manager, so I can't complain there. Not a single one of her comments had anything negative, which I was surprised about. Not because I think I have a lot of work-related negatives, just that my manager usually takes it as an opportunity to point out areas that I could improve on, which I actually like to hear.
The review ended and I was told that we got some new, higher job bands (basically meaning a salary range), but couldn't share them yet, but I'd be compensated as much as possible. Now, we'll just see if the money follows...
